Bible Verses About Wisdom

The Wisdom of God:

  • Is a product of the Word of God

  • The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Wisdom.

  • Pray and ask God for wisdom.

  • Sow a precious seed to obtain wisdom.

Wisdom by Dr. James Arekion

Use each of these Bible verses by putting them in the first person singular ie. “I” And confess the word over your life and over your family at least once a day. Now say, “Lord your word declares according to…”

Proverbs 2:6

6 For the LORD gives wisdom; From his mouth come knowledge and intelligence;

Proverbs 3:5

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;

Proverbs 3:13

13 Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, And the man who has understanding!

Proverbs 4:6-7

6 Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; Love her, and she will protect you. 7 This is the beginning of wisdom: Acquire wisdom, And with all that you have acquire understanding.

Proverbs 9:10

10 The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; And the science of the saints is intelligence.

Proverbs 11:2

2 When pride comes, shame also comes; But wisdom is with the humble.

Proverbs 13:1

1 A wise son listens to his father's instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to reproof.

 

Proverbs 14:1

1 A wise woman builds her house, and a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.

Proverbs 19:20

20 Listen to counsel, and receive instruction, That you may be wise in the rest of your life.

Psalms 37:30

30 The mouth of the righteous proclaims wisdom, And his tongue proclaims righteousness.

Psalms 111:10

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; Everyone who observes it has a sound reason. His glory endures forever.

Job 28:28

28 Then he said to the man, Behold, the fear of the Lord is wisdom; To shun evil is intelligence.

Matthew 7:24

24 Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

 

Ecclesiastes 2:26

26 For he gives to the man who is pleasing to him wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but he gives the sinner the task of collecting and storing up, in order to give to him who is pleasing to God. This is again a vanity and the pursuit of the wind.

1 Corinthians 1:30

30 Now it is through him that you are in Christ Jesus, who from God was made unto us wisdom, righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption,

Colossians 4:5-6

5 Be wise to those outside, and redeem the time. 6 May your speech always be accompanied by grace, seasoned with salt, so that you know how to respond to each one.

James 1:5

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all simply and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

 

James 3:17

17 Wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceful, moderate, conciliatory, full of mercy and good fruits, free from duplicity, from hypocrisy.
