Christian Family Church in Mauritius & Rodrigues

We are a worldwide evangelistic ministry with a vision to spread the Word of God to MAURITIUS, the MASCARENE ISLANDS, the continents of AFRICA, EUROPE and the USA. We are "one" church - "one" family, which means we have a unified vision and leadership. The headquarters of the ministry is located in Port Louis. All of our churches have the same vision, mission and core values.

WHY DO WE WORSHIP GOD?

“You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve him alone. (Matt 4:10b)

HOW SHOULD WE WORSHIP GOD?

“But the hour is coming, and it has already come, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for these are the worshipers whom the Father asks for.  God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)

WHY DO WE STAND UP TO SING?

"The Levites ... arose to praise with a loud and loud voice the Lord, the God of Israel." (2 Chronicles 20:19)

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS?

“All you peoples, clap your hands! Shout to God for joy! (Psalms 47:2)

WHY DO WE RAISE OUR HANDS?

“Lift up your hands to the sanctuary, and bless the Lord!”

(Psalms 134:2)

WHY DO WE SING SONGS?

“Do not get drunk on wine: it is debauchery. Be, on the contrary, filled with the Spirit; speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody of the praises of the Lord with all your heart.” (Ephesians 5:18-19)

Composers are inspired by the Holy Spirit of God to write spiritual songs based on a portion of scripture, commonly known as hymns.

WHY DO WE SPEAK AND SING IN TONGUES?

“For if I pray in tongues, my spirit prays, but my mind remains barren.  So what to do? I will pray in the spirit, but I will also pray with the understanding; I will sing with the spirit, but I will also sing with the intelligence.”

  (1 Corinthians 14:14-15)

WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS PART OF THE PRAISE?

“Praise him with the sound of the trumpet! Praise him with the lute and the harp!  Praise him with the tambourine and with dances!

Praise him with the string instruments and the chalumeau!  Praise it with the sound cymbals! Praise him with the crashing cymbals!”

  (Psalms 150:3-5)

WHY DOES THE WHOLE CHURCH PRAY TOGETHER FOR SPECIFIC NEEDS?

“When they heard it, they lifted up their voices together to God…” (Acts 4:24a)

WHY DO WE RECEIVE TITHES AND OFFERINGS?

“Does a man deceive God? For you deceive me, And you say: How have we deceived you? In tithes and offerings.  You are stricken with the curse, And you deceive me, The whole nation!  Bring to the treasury all the tithes, That there may be food in my house; So put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts. And you will see if I do not open the floodgates of heaven for you, if I do not shower you with blessing in abundance.”

  (Malachi 3:8-10)

WHY DO WE DANCE IN CHURCH?

“Let them praise his name with dances. »

(Psalms 149:3a)

“Praise him with the tambourine and with dances! »

(Psalms 150:4a)

"He went with them into the temple, walking, jumping, and praising God." (Acts 3:8b)

“… in whom you believe without seeing Him yet, rejoicing (literal Greek – jumping for joy) with ineffable and glorious joy” (1 Peter 1:8b)
